We spent a solid month in KL, and it took a bit of time to yank back those gay layers. Some of the misconceptions we examine honestly dissuaded us from coming in the beginning, such as commonly hearing through the grapevine that "being gay is illegal in Malaysia!" We are delighted we didn't listen and decided to check it out for ourselves and clear up any misconceptions, because we quickly developed an affinity for the town and country.
