Craig David has revealed that he has been celibate for two years as he took a step back from connection to 'heal his own issues'.

The singer, 43, said the break from sexual activity has been 'good vibes' as he has managed to avoid a lot 'drama' in the past 48 months.

He also admitted that, without the distraction of connection, his creative sparks have been electrifying his production in the studio.

'It has been really great for me because man, the studio music, the creativity, it's like, no drama just vibes!', he told The TMZ Podcast .

'I realize to the go out, It's been two years now for me [without sex]. But in a funny way, much as I was like 'Wow!' to myself for the moment, [my] creativity has been on a 100, on a max, for those two years.'

And as he approaches 37, rumours about the unmarried singer's sexuality continue to swirl.


But the Fill Me In hit maker insisted that his preference for women has always been dispel in his songs.


"I think it’s very evident in the way my songs are and how I speak about relationships so I wouldn’t even go into it. It’s like if that’s what you feel it’s what you feel," he told The Sun.

Craig David has finally put to bed rumours surrounding his sexuality, saying he is confused by the steady need to define people.

In a recent appearance on The Sun's Bizarre Experience podcast, the unmarried 36-year-old singer said he likes to "leave it very open" because the LGBT conversation has shifted.
