There are hundreds of lesbian dating sims on steam and the threads are full of "Nude plz!" "Nude version when!?" ♥♥♥♥♥♥" "This makes my♥♥♥♥♥♥feel nice!"
A gay male matchmaking app simulator gets made and its actually good, has a great art manner and story, and an angry mob of heterosexual men lose their ♥♥♥♥ing minds so much so they don't even want to look at the VERY SAFE FOR WORK title of the game???
Of very normal looking guys that happen to be homosexual?

Games for those interested in male lover characters, storylines, and player options
Props to the devs, the audience for buying, the support and open mindedness from everyone etc... Its good to see this even if its not my cup of tea.
As an outsider I am curious to hear from this audience. What types/ kinds of LGBT games would you be interested playing specifically? More details are better if possible
If I had to guess I would say:
- Gender persona exploration simulators or conduct modeling experimentation without concrete world consequences
- Dad go out sims but for women or those who perform not identify a specif gender male/ female
- LGBT relationships focused version of popular EA game "the sims"
- Education / Awareness oriented "message" or "experiential" games
- idk rly just guessing here

A choose-your-own way game: a same-sex attracted dating sim

Hello folks. I’ve been a fan of Choice-of-Games but yep, I decided to go the Ren’Py route to inflict–I mean–share, my imaginative talents with the world.
I ended up making a demo for a homosexual male dating sim.
If you’re interested, please check it out. I’ve used the various helpful articles from this site to help me map out routes to my game. The game will be available December 2013 and is called “Coming Out On Top.”
It’s another game being crowdfunded through Kickstarter. At the moment, it’s gotten a lot of support. Additional support is welcome of course, but if not, critiques from actual fans of the multiple-branching-storyline model would be excellent. I consider there’s a wonderful chance you’ll appreciate the demo too if you appreciate m/m romance/games/fiction.
While the game is story and character based, it is an 18+ game due to some erotic content. Please verify out the demo if you’re interested. (Link is on the Kickstarter site.)
And yes–the main criticism is not the writing so much as the evidence all the guys look like models. I’m afraid that’s due the truth I just drew the guys that way before the game started
