not really. i mean journey is a great band and all, i am just not a "ballad" person for the most part and the bands of the 70's/80's that appealed to the chicks with the power ballad aren't really my favorites

appreciate REO Speedwagen, the only good time to attend to a journey or REO Speedwagen song is if you are delayed dancing with a chick

if you are driving in your car by yourself and a journey or REO Speedwagen ballad comes on the radio, you should change it just on principle (unless you meet the criteria Red Dawn refers to)

I'm getting tired of the 80's bashing. That's so 90's. First of all, Journey was not all ballads, like REO Speedwagon and Chicago. They had their share, "Open Arms", "Faithfully", "Send Her My Love". But I think of Journey as a rock band. Songs like "Don't Stop Believin'", "Separate Ways", "Any Way You Hope It", "Who's Crying Now", etc are not ballads.

And although I was never a big fan, I'm starting to re-appreciate REO Speedwag

Give Steve a boyfriend, you cowards.

Stranger Things 4 launched this summer, bringing with it some remarkable tall and low points in modern TV. Quality control aside, with its send back we had the joy of seeing some old friends, like El Hopper (Millie Bobby Brown) and Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink), as well as rendezvous new ones, including the delightful Argyle (Eduardo Franco) and the ill-fated Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).

More specifically, throughout this series, we got to spend a lot of moment with the juvenile adults of Hawkins (and Lenora Hills). The “Fruity Four” – that organism Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), and Eddie Munson – in particular formed a modern, important alliance, mirroring the original gang of four from the first series. That bond allowed us, the audience, to really delve into the way the characters who have been with us since afternoon one have developed so far. Nancy has grown into a confident, strong person who has shit to receive done; although she was always attractive cool. But let’s talk about Steve for a minute.

They shoved the evidence he had a husband down our throats too much. With Traynor even Male Shepard doesn't know when he can endeavor to seduce her. With Steve it's like... "DID WE Talk about HE HAD A HUSBAND YET? HE'S GAY, HE HAD A HUSBAND. DID YOU KNOW HE HAD A HUSBAND?!" I grasp getting over it is sort of his character arc, but they felt the need to emphasise "husband" wwaayy too often. Once or twice would possess been fine, we go the message BioWare.

Yeah I know, clearly people with same sex orientation should keep that to themselves right?

They should like, position it in a closet or something.  So the rest of us don't feel icky feelings.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. Don't try so hard to receive knee-jerk defensive.

I'm saying they tried way too hard to remind us he's gay, it felt forced, it felt patronising the audience, unlike with Traynor where it's never even directly referenced she's a lesbian unless you're FemShep actually romancing her. They couldn't wait to use the word "husband" every five seconds with Cortez and that bloody recording. It felt "He's the gay dropship pilot" rather than "he's the dropship pi
