Is kathy griffin gay

It was a lovely easy decision to choose who our next subject would be for our Gay Icon series, as she definitely exemplifies that statement in more ways than one.

Kathy Griffin, to put it lightly, is a f***ing badass.  She has been one of the same-sex attracted community's most endearing and passionate supporters before it even became cool to suspend with us.  From her days in the early 80's where she would perform at local gay bars all the way to going through one of the most insane experiences anyone can imagine over the past year, Kathy has still had our advocate through and through.

This past year challenged Kathy in ways that millions of people will never truly understand, but her resilience has kept her leader firmly above the water, and now, she's preparing to head back "home" in so many ways with the United States and Canada leg of her world tour called Laugh Your Head Off.

It's something that clearly has touched her in many ways, as her show at the world celebrated Carnegie Hall sold out in a day.  Her response? "I'm in shock. For most of the past year I was convinced that my career was over…I possess felt moments of despair that I

Fly the Super Male lover Skies

Kathy's gay fan base has reached international proportions and it's time to travel to the land down under to receive the love (and publicity) that she so richly deserves (and craves). And what better time of year to see Oz and the Emerald City than during Gay Mardi Gras? For the Mardi Gras procession, Kathy will be riding on foremost of a float through downtown Sydney. But before she can go down under, she has to go up, up and away on one of her craziest D-List gigs yet -- she'll be the hostess of Gas New Zealand's Pink Flight from San Francisco to Sydney (you don't view Chris Rock having to take gigs like this). This special flight features a bevy of flight attendant flamboyant queens and queer themed in-flight show including a rise up performance by Kathy over a PA system at 35,000 feet. Kathy will be beside herself with a captive audience that is ready to party for 15 hours straight. And by straight, we mean gay.

Comedian Kathy Griffin is a linear woman who have made huge steps standing up for gay rights — and have been acknowledged as such with recent awards. We sat down with her to debate her art and activism in the time of Trump

Of course Kathy Griffin’s manager asks if our conversation is being recorded — have you heard her talk? Luckily, the celeb-skewering, gay-loving, Trump-hating comedienne’s filterless mouth moves at a meteoric pace, which is wonderful news for anyone who wants to know her thoughts on basically everything: the practicality of star activism, her idea for a My Life on the D-List spinoff and the surprising number of people she meets who say they’ve never encountered a gay person.

We caught up with Griffin, who discussed all the above just days after being honored with the Vanguard Award by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus earlier this month for her ardent and unwavering role as an ally in the LGBT rights movement. “There is so much more to her [than people realize], including her tireless function behind the scenes.” says Tim Seelig, former director of the Turtle Creek Chorale and now esthetic director of the SFGMC. “Her acceptance speech, while hilarious,
