I've always found opposition to parasocial-leaning kpop discussions very absorbing because it feels like trying to ostracize peanut butter from jam. Practically every kpop organization under the sun makes huge amounts of content specifically crafted to foster parasocial attachment more than any other industry I can think of. Idols are paid to be performers but they're also paid to kindle parasocial stanning. Kpop would absolutely not be where it is right now and would peer and function very differently if it wasn't built up into the parasocial escapist fantasy it is now (and has been for a verylong time).Dragon of the West said:

I can understand that everyone has their boundaries and I can realize discomfort with this alley of speculation, and it's not enjoy I don't have my hold (those "weight loss journey" videos that are thinly disguised body shaming and crash diet romanticization all over youtube and the community of people engaging with them squick me like crazy)

I can see what you're saying (and I completely agree), but some parts of the production made me ponder there was also some attraction to her.
Their first run-in, after V saves her, with the expanded diologue, it made V sound a little flirty to me.
Also, when V's cooking the day after, and Evey sees his hands, it sounded like V was saddened that she was potentially repulsed by his scarred hands.
Him asking her to boogie also gave that idea. He almost reminded me of the guy asking the hot lady to dance at the dance, but in the slightly nervous/excited way, and not in the immature bastard tall school way.
Finally, his death scene. He says blantently that he loved her and that she was the one who opened his heart again.
I consent there was adore, but I deliberate there was a hint of V yearning for her, to make his love become his lover.
